Trauma Informed Care for birth professionals.
Would you like greater confidence in your ability to support mothers who have experienced traumatic birth?
Do you find yourself unsure of saying or doing the right thing, or feeling emotionally drained when helping support mums who've had a difficult birth experience?
This program is designed to equip you with the necessary skills to be a greater, more effective support to mothers and families while protecting your own emotional health at the same time.
Mindfulness based self-care tools are offered as part of the program. Ongoing support to birth professionals in need of guidance is offered. Research shows burn-out is higher among birth professionals who witness traumatic birth.
This course is suitable for all birth professionals, from midwives, obstetricians, doulas, fertility workers, ante-natal instructors, yoga teachers, birth preparation workers to counsellors and therapists.
Your Instructor
With a background of over 2 decades in psychotherapy, positive psychology & mindfulness, Tara founded Mindfulbirth Therapies in 2009.
The non-profit has to date supported over 1400 families in their recovery to full mental wellbeing in Ireland, UK, USA, Australia and globally.
Mindfulbirth Therapies also trains midwives and health care professionals in best practices to support families in their care following trauma.
Tara's passion is sharing evidence based methods that work to help people achieve mental wholeness.
